History of Appletiser
It was invented in 1966 by farmer named Edmond Lombardi in South Africa. He used six different types of apple for his formula.
Appletiser is a sparkling apple drink produced in Elqin, South Africa. Appletiser is a fully owned subsidiary of SABMiller.
In 1978, Coca-cola purchased 50% of Appletiser. Now Appletiser is an international company with office in the United Kingdom, USA, Asia and Africa.
The success of Appletiser lead to the introduction of Grapetiser in 1981, and subsequently a sparkling pear juice as Peartiser.
